Menstrual health is a fundamental right, yet thousands of girls in South Africa face period poverty, forcing them to miss school due to a lack of sanitary products. This critical issue leads to learning disruptions, decreased confidence, and long-term social and economic disadvantages.
To address this, The Girl in the Mirror NPO is launching the Dignity for 300 Girls Sanitary Pad Drive, a targeted initiative to provide six months of sanitary pads, care packages and menstrual hygiene education to support 300 girls from underserved communities. This initiative will not only keep girls in school but will also foster greater gender equality, confidence, and empowerment.
